Miss Roisin Richardson -
Dance /Musical Theatre Teacher
(LAMDA, BGU, NATD, BA (Hons))
Miss Roisin has always had a love of dance and the
performing arts since a very young age. Throughout her childhood, she regularly trained and competed in Irish Dancing at a National and International level, as well as appearing locally in various acting and stage festivals.
In her early teens she joined the Dance in Motion Academy and studied many genres of dance including Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Pom, Lyrical and regularly competed with 'Motionesque' at National and International competitions. She also spent her weekends performing on the Worcester Warriors Pitch with the Dance in Motion Cheer Elite Team and performed in various local events. During her time at the Academy Miss Roisin also gained many qualifications in a range of dance styles.
Miss Roisin decided to continue her love of performing arts at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance in London where she gained at First class BA (hons) degree. During her time at Rose Bruford, she gained experience in teaching creative movement in a SEN school, and began teaching LAMDA and public speaking to students, during her final year. She has continued to teach LAMDA students since graduating and loves to help students achieve their examinations.
In August 2019 Miss Roisin worked as an acting teacher for students aged 7-18 at a Saturday stage school, when she returned to Worcester. She focused on skills for stage and screen and helped to build a foundation of knowledge for young actors in a fun and upbeat environment. She continues to also work as a freelance model and actress and has completed a 6-month No.1 UK Theatre Tour.
We are so excited to welcome Miss Roisin back to the Academy as a teacher - she is so passionate about the performing arts industry. She continues to complete further teaching qualifications and is always striving to be the best teacher she can be for her students!
