Ballet has a technique which is the foundation of all dance. Dating back to the 17th century, its conventional steps, grace and fluidity of movement are still at the heart of classical training today. Whether your child dances purely for pleasure or has more serious ambitions, this classical style has something to offer everyone.

At Dance in Motion Academy, ballet classes nurture posture, musicality and control from the very first plié. Young dancers can start from age 2 in Ballet Totz, then progress through graded classes towards IDTA and RAD examinations, vocational grades and, for some, auditions for full-time dance colleges.

We also offer Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), an innovative Swiss-ball programme that builds muscle memory, turnout and core stability, giving excellent support for students working towards their personal best in classical ballet.
