Our teaching team

Standards every family can rely on

DBS checked

Every member of the teaching team holds an up-to-date enhanced DBS check.

Safeguarding trained

All teachers hold a minimum of Level 2 safeguarding certification.

First aid trained

Teachers are first aid trained so students are in safe hands at every class.

Fully insured & qualified

The academy and its teachers are fully insured and professionally qualified.

Safeguarding

The welfare of our students comes first

We recognise our responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of all children and young people we work with, under the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and the Education Act 2002. Every child has the right to protection from harm, whatever their gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or beliefs.

  • Identifying and responding quickly to any concern about a child or young person.
  • Providing a safe and happy dance environment backed by risk assessments.
  • Thinking carefully about equality, diversity and representation across the school.
  • Using safer recruitment, with DBS checks and references in place before anyone joins the team.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

Debbie Hinton

If you have a concern about a child, please speak to Debbie or to any member of staff at the studio.

All teachers hold a minimum of Level 2 safeguarding certification, and everyone working with children at the academy holds a valid, clear DBS check. Nobody is employed or able to volunteer if they are barred from working with children.
